The first African American to grace the cover of American Vogue in 1974 is the inspiration for day three of Black History Month. Beverly Johnson has more than 500 magazine covers under her belt as a supermodel. She paved the way for the likes of Noami and Tyra, including other black women in fashion. One extraordinary woman with a gorgeous face and bone structure. All hail the queen of black supermodels.
